Washington, D.C. – On the 37th anniversary of Turkey’s invasion of Cyprus, Congressman Frank Pallone called for Turkey to end the illegal occupation of northern Cyprus and to turn over property that rightfully belongs to the Cypriots and others like U.S. citizens. Turkey’s invasion of Cyprus on July 20th, 1974 forced nearly 200,000 Greek Cypriots to flee their homes and made one-third of the Cypriot population refugees in their own country.

Salazar. The Supreme Court decision does not provide authority for the Secretary of the Interior to take land into trust for tribes not under Federal jurisdiction in 1934.

Monmouth CBOC will officially open Tuesday, July 5 which accomplishes the least possible interruption to area veterans’ health care. The clinic that currently operates at Ft. Monmouth closed June 24 and is currently transitioning to the new location at 55 Gilbert Street in Tinton Falls.

The dredging, which began earlier this week, will be conducted by the Army Corps of Engineers and continue for 10-11 days to improve the safety and accessibility of the inlet.
