WASHINGTON, D.C. – As summer puts renewed attention on the dangers of prolonged sun exposure, Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06), Ranking Member of the House Energy and Commerce Committee, led 15 Members of Congress in calling on Trump’s Department of Defense to make sunscreen readily available to servicemembers year-round, arguing that access to basic skin cancer prevention should not depend on whether troops can bring their own supplies.

WASHINGTON – After months of negotiation, Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (D-NJ) celebrated House passage of bipartisan legislation he co-authored to protect kids and teens online and rein in Big Tech. 

 

Pallone negotiated the bipartisan agreement on the Kids Internet and Digital Safety (KIDS) Act with his fellow Energy and Commerce Committee leader, Congressman Brett Guthrie (R-KY).

WASHINGTON, D.C. — At today’s House Energy and Commerce Committee subcommittee markup addressing the growing impact of AI data centers on America’s electric grid, Ranking Member Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) warned that Congress must take far stronger action to address the rapid expansion of data centers.

“This simply cannot continue.  That is why I am in favor of a national AI data center moratorium until we can find a way to ensure they don’t harm our nation’s air, water, and power bills,” Pallone said.

The Top Democrat on the House Energy and Commerce Committee reached the deal with Republican Chairman Brett Guthrie (R-KY) on an updated version of the Kids Internet and Digital Safety (KIDS) Act.

NEWARK, N.J. – U.S. Representatives Frank Pallone Jr. and Analilia Mejia today conducted an unannounced oversight visit to the Delaney Hall immigration detention facility, where they met with detainees and facility management to press for additional improvements to conditions inside the facility.
 
The visit comes after the restoration of family visitation and the release of several pregnant women from Delaney Hall following weeks of advocacy from peaceful protestors, Democratic Members of Congress, and Governor Mikie Sherrill.
