Washington, DC – Today, Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) applauded President Biden's designation of the atrocities committed against ethnic Armenians as a genocide. Beginning in 1915, an estimated 1.5 million Armenians were systemically murdered over the course of several years in what is now present-day Turkey. Turkish leaders have long denied historical evidence that clearly documented the systemic rape, torture, and murder of Armenians in the final years of the Ottoman Empire.

Washington, DC – Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) today announced the reintroduction of legislation to help the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) clean up Superfund sites listed on the EPA's National Priorities List. The Superfund Polluter Pays Act would reinstate the Superfund tax to make sure polluters pay for the cleanup of Superfund sites – not taxpayers. Senator Cory Booker of New Jersey will introduce the companion bill in the Senate.

Washington, DC – Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) today led a letter to President Joe Biden, applauding the Executive Order that pauses new leasing for offshore oil and gas drilling on the U.S. Outer Continental Shelf (OCS). Representatives Salud Carbajal, Jared Huffman, Alan Lowenthal, Debbie Wasserman Schultz and Donald McEachin also led the letter which was signed by 47 additional Members of Congress. The lawmakers lauded the pause as an important first step toward preventing billions of dollars in damage from climate change and oil spill disasters.

He will be sorely missed. I first came to know Kenny when he worked at the Edison Job Corps.
