Long Branch, NJ – Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) today announced that Community Health Centers in New Jersey will receive $129,653,750 to expand access to COVID-19 vaccines, testing, treatment, and preventative health services in underserved areas. The funding will be administered through the Department of Health and Human Services as part of the American Rescue Plan, which Pallone helped author, to ensure that underserved and vulnerable communities are not left behind in the government's response to the pandemic.

Washington, DC – Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) today announced that New Jersey will receive $267,527,208 to support COVID-19 screening testing for teachers, staff, and students so that schools can safely re-open for in-person instruction. The funding is part of the American Rescue Plan that Pallone authored in the U.S. House of Representatives and President Biden signed into law last week. State and certain local health departments should expect to receive the funding by early April.

Washington, D.C. – Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) released the following statement today after Congress passed the American Rescue Plan. The bill passed the House of Representatives by a vote of 220 - 211 and will soon go to President Biden's desk to be signed into law.

"The American Rescue Plan will go a long way towards crushing the coronavirus. Under President Biden, for the first time we have a national plan to fight the virus that does not force states and local governments to compete with each other for testing, contact tracing, and medical supplies.

MIDDLETOWN, N.J. (AP) — With New Jersey's commercial fishing industry about to receive a second round of federal coronavirus aid, boat owners and those who run fishing-related businesses say the extra money is helping keep them afloat amid a sea of red ink.

The state's fishing industry received $11 million last March under the CARES Act, an early aid bill passed in response to the COVID-19 outbreak.
