Long Branch, NJ – Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) today honored the recipients of the Congressional Award, U.S. Service Academy nominees for class of 2024 and 2025 and the winners of the 2020 and 2021 Sixth Congressional District High School Art Competition during a virtual Congressional Awards Ceremony.

Pallone honored the recipients of the Congressional Award given in 2020 and 2021. Created by his predecessor, the late U.S. Rep. Jim Howard, the Congressional Award recognizes the initiative, achievement, and volunteer services of young people. The recipients include:


July 1, 2021

Washington, DC – Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) applauded House passage of the INVEST America Act, a $715 billion transportation bill that invests in surface and water infrastructure and will create jobs, revitalize the economy, improve public health, and increase the safety of automobiles. An additional $44 billion was added during the legislative process to make even greater investments in infrastructure, including EV charging and passenger rail grant programs, among other additions.


July 1, 2021

Washington, DC – Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) today announced that three transportation and infrastructure projects he requested for New Jersey's Sixth Congressional District passed the House of Representatives. The projects were included in the INVEST America Act, a transformational infrastructure bill that makes record investments in roads, bridges, and transit.

Washington, DC – Today, Congressional Caucus on Armenian Issues Co-Chairs Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06), Gus M. Bilirakis (FL-12), Jackie Speier (CA-14), and Adam B. Schiff (CA-28) announced significant economic assistance for the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) in the Fiscal Year 2022 State and Foreign Relations funding legislation.

WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) and Senator Chris Murphy (D-CT) announced legislation to help protect coastal communities from sea level rise and stronger storms caused by climate change. The Living Shorelines Act of 2021 would create two federal grant programs through the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.

Washington, DC – Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) today announced the launch of the Emergency Connectivity Fund (ECF) application period and urged local schools and libraries to apply for funding to help students, teachers, and library patrons get the tools they need to connect to the Internet from home.

Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) released the following statement on the Supreme Court's decision in California v. Texas to uphold the Affordable Care Act (ACA):

"Today the Supreme Court rightfully rejected the latest attempt by Republicans to eliminate the Affordable Care Act. Thanks to today's decision, the ACA remains the law of the land, providing high-quality health care and patient protections to millions of Americans despite years of partisan efforts by Republicans to repeal the law and overturn it in the courts.

Long Branch, NJ – Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) today announced that New Jersey Community Capital in New Brunswick will receive $1,826,265 to respond to economic challenges created by the COVID-19 pandemic, particularly in underserved communities. The funding will be made through the Department of Treasury's Community Development Financial Institutions Rapid Response Program (CDFI RRP).

Washington, DC – Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr.'s (NJ-06) Homeless Veterans Credit Repair, Enhancement, and Debt Improvement for Tomorrow (CREDIT) Act passed the House of Representatives today. The bill will help end veteran homelessness and housing instability by providing credit and financial counseling - a top ten unmet need for homeless veterans.

Washington, DC – Today, Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) along with Gus Bilirakis (FL-12), Jackie Speier (CA-14), David Valadao (CA-21), and Adam Schiff (CA-28) sent a letter to President Biden requesting that he use his upcoming meeting with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to address his regime's direct military and economic support of Azerbaijani aggressions against Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) and Armenia. President Biden is scheduled to meet with President Erdogan on June 14 during the NATO summit in Brussels.
