Washington, DC – Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) today led an appropriations letter for fiscal year 2022 that requests funding for a robust humanitarian assistance package, including demining activities in Artsakh, and funding for economic development, governance, and resources to fight the COVID-19 pandemic. The letter also requests a suspension of U.S. military aid to Azerbaijan until it ends its aggression toward Armenia and Artsakh. The letter was signed by 66 Members of Congress.

Beginning in 1915, an estimated 1.5 million Armenians were systemically murdered over the course of several years in what is now present-day Turkey. Turkish leaders have long denied historical evidence that clearly documented the systemic rape, torture, and murder of Armenians in the final years of the Ottoman Empire.

Washington, DC – Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) today announced the reintroduction of legislation to help the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) clean up Superfund sites listed on the EPA's National Priorities List. The Superfund Polluter Pays Act would reinstate the Superfund tax to make sure polluters pay for the cleanup of Superfund sites – not taxpayers. Senator Cory Booker of New Jersey will introduce the companion bill in the Senate.
