Washington, D.C. –Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) released the following statement today after President Trump signed an executive order ending his administration's family separation policy:
"While I hope today's order puts an end to the barbaric separation of families at the border, I am concerned that these families will continue to face cruel and inhumane treatment at the hands of the Trump Administration.
Washington, D.C. – All 24 Energy and Commerce Democrats sent a letter to full Committee Chairman Greg Walden (R-OR) and Health Subcommittee Chairman Michael Burgess (R-TX) today demanding an immediate hearing on the wellbeing of the children being forcibly separated from their parents and families and placed into the custody of the Department of Health and Human Services' (HHS) Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR).

WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) today led a letter to Rep. Rob Bishop (R-UT) ,Chairman of the House Natural Resources Committee, and to Rep. Raúl Grijalva (D-AZ), Ranking Member of the House Natural Resources Committee, expressing strong opposition to Republican legislation that would penalize states like New Jersey, who have responded to their coastal community's demands by effectively banning oil and gas development off of state shores.
Washington, DC- Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr.'s (NJ-06) bill to provide increased funding to combat illicit opioid importation today passed the House of Representatives unanimously. H.R 5228, the Stop Counterfeit Drugs by Regulating and Enhancing Enforcement Now (SCREEN) Act, will also expand the Food and Drug Administration's (FDA) authority to prevent illegally manufactured opioids, such as fentanyl, from arriving overseas through the mail.
