WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) introduced the Buy Low and Sell High Act today, new legislation that creates an Economic Petroleum Reserve designed to continue the trend of falling gasoline prices and make money for American taxpayers by empowering the Department of Energy (DOE) to buy oil when prices are low and sell oil when prices are high.

Perth Amboy, NJ – Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) joined a ribbon cutting ceremony today with local elected officials to highlight efforts to restore the historic Perth Amboy Free Public Library. Pallone secured $1.5 million in a federal spending bill to help the city renovate and upgrade the library to better serve the needs of the community. President Biden signed the bill into law earlier this year.

Long Branch, NJ – Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) today participated in a telephone town hall hosted by AARP with over 800 constituents to provide an update on his work to lower prescription drug and health care costs. Pallone originally authored or advanced key provisions in the Inflation Reduction Act through his Energy and Commerce Committee over the last couple of years. President Biden signed the bill into law last month.

This is especially important as the people of Artsakh celebrate their 31st Independence Day and the birth of their democracy on September 2.

Long Branch, NJ - Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) held a press conference today in Long Branch with local environmental advocates on the historic climate achievements in the Inflation Reduction Act. The bill is the single-largest investment in climate action in American history and includes key climate provisions originally authored by Pallone or advanced through his Energy and Commerce Committee. Pallone managed the bill on the House Floor.

Long Branch, NJ – Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) announced that the Army Corps of Engineers will begin beach replenishment this fall in Elberon. Pallone met with the Army Corps in January to advocate for this project. The federal funding comes from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, which Pallone pushed for last year. The Army Corps will place 1.2 million cubic yards of sand from Takanassee Lake south in Elberon. Work is expected to begin in late November or early December.

The federal funding comes from the American Rescue Plan that House Democrats passed and President Biden signed into law in 2021. The funds are distributed through the Department of Commerce's Economic Development Administration (EDA).
