Washington, DC – Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr.'s (NJ-06) Homeless Veterans Credit Repair, Enhancement, and Debt Improvement for Tomorrow (CREDIT) Act was signed into law today. The bill was included in the Omnibus Spending Bill for Fiscal Year 2023 and will help end veteran homelessness and housing instability by providing credit and financial counseling - a top ten unmet need for homeless veterans.

Washington, DC – Congressional Caucus on Armenian Issues Co-Chair Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06), Jackie Speier (CA-14), David Valadao (CA-21), and Adam B. Schiff (CA-28) announced the inclusion of an unprecedented $60 million in economic assistance for Armenia and $2 million for demining activities in Artsakh in the Consolidated Appropriations Act spending bill for Fiscal Year 2023.

Washington, DC – Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) secured $51,373,858 for 15 projects in Middlesex and Monmouth Counties in a federal spending bill for Fiscal Year 2023. The projects will help rebuild and repair infrastructure, support public health and educational facilities, invest in scientific research, and improve coastal resilience. Washington, DC - Representatives Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06), Bonnie Watson Coleman (NJ-12), and Andy Kim (NJ-03) today applauded an indefinite extension of recoupment efforts for debt owed to the federal government in relation to Superstorm Sandy that has been included in the Omnibus Fiscal Year 2023 package. These recoupment efforts known as "clawbacks" have blindsided homeowners because many New Jersey residents applied for loans and benefits offered by various federal programs at the recommendation of the government.

Elberon beach replenishment

Long Branch, NJ – Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) announced that the Army Corps of Engineers will begin beach replenishment in Elberon around January 1. The Corps will place 1.2 million cubic yards of sand starting at the southern end of Elberon at Lincoln Avenue in the next few weeks and work north to Takanassee Lake at North Lake Drive. The Elberon project is expected to be completed no later than March 1. The federal funding comes from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, which Pallone pushed for last year.

Ashvin Trehan, Siddharth Paul, and Jared Wyetzner from Metuchen High School won this year's competition. Their app, Myndful, is an artificial intelligence mental health resource navigator that helps adolescents access and understand mental health resources.

Bipartisan Energy and Commerce Committee leaders wrote to the CEO of Ticketmaster's parent company Live Nation Entertainment, Inc. today raising concerns about potentially unfair or deceptive practices in the live ticketing industry and the chaotic ticket pre-sale for Taylor Swift's upcoming concert tour. The Committee leaders requested a staff briefing from the company on the key areas of concern.
