The roundtable, held at Masjid Al-Wali in Edison, focused on a number of issues, including the bigoted rhetoric directed towards Muslim Americans and refugees that is becoming increasingly common in our political discourse.

LONG BRANCH, NJ – Today, Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) announced that he helped secure $636,002 in 2015 for constituents seeking assistance through his district office. His work on behalf of constituents includes help with Veterans Affairs claims, tax return issues with the Internal Revenue Service, Sandy related FEMA grants and claims, SBA loans, Social Security payments, and more.
WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06), Ranking Member of the House Energy and Commerce Committee, announced that President Obama today signed into law Pallone’s Microbead-Free Waters Act of 2015. The legislation will prohibit the manufacture and sale of personal care products that contain plastic microbeads. These small bits of plastic, used as exfoliants in personal care products, like face wash and toothpaste, can slip through water treatment systems after they are washed down the drain.
WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) decried the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s (NOAA) final rule on 2016 summer flounder catch limits released today. Under the rule, the summer flounder acceptable catch limit is being reduced by 30 percent, from 23 million pounds to 16 million pounds.
DEAL, NJ – Today, Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-6) kicked off the start of the final phase of a federally funded beach replenishment project from Sea Bright to Manasquan. He was joined at the press conference by Col. David Caldwell, Commander of the New York District of the Army Corps of Engineers. This final phase will cover the area stretching from Lake Takanassee in Elberon to Philips Avenue in Deal. The $86,722,210 in funding for this project is part of the Sandy aid package that Congressman Pallone fought for in Congress.
PISCATAWAY, NJ – Following a long-sought victory for 9/11 first responders – passage of the James Zadroga 9/11 Health and Compensation Reauthorization Act – Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) held a press conference with first responders and spoke with patients at the World Trade Center Health Program clinic at Rutgers. The Zadroga Act was permanently reauthorized as part of the omnibus spending bill, which passed on Friday.
