WASHINGTON, DC — Today, on the three-year anniversary of Superstorm Sandy, Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-6), Ranking Member of the House Energy and Commerce Committee, announced that he will introduce legislation to help ensure the resiliency of the nation’s communications networks during emergencies. During and after Sandy there was a major breakdown of telecommunications networks, including cellular and home telephones, television, and internet services.

LONG BRANCH, NJ – On November 12^th, Congressman Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) will hold a Federal Student Aid workshop at Rutgers University in Piscataway for students on how to make college affordable. The Congressman will discuss his efforts in Congress to reduce student loan debt, and students will have the opportunity to speak with him, as well as Department of Education representatives and Rutgers University financial aid officers.
