Long Branch - Today, in a letter to James Fakult, President of Jersey Central Power & Light (JCP&L), Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) called on JCP&L to withdraw the proposed Monmouth County Reliability Project (MCRP). The plan for JCP&L’s new transmission line would impact Aberdeen, Hazlet and Middletown in Pallone’s district and run along New Jersey Transit’s North Jersey Coast line.
LONG BRANCH, NJ -- Today, Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr, (NJ-06) presented a Prisoner of War medal to the family of deceased World War Two Veteran Gavino Peter Petillo. Mr. Petillo served in the United States Army from February 13, 1942 until October 17, 1945. During the war, Mr. Petillo was captured in North Africa and was a Prisoner of War in Germany for 19 months. Mr. Petillo grew up in Asbury Park and his family now resides in Long Branch. The energy generated will provide approximately 60% of the facility’s electricity needs.

Craig Fugate to express disappointment with the continued delays for claim reviews from victims of Superstorm Sandy. Although Superstorm Sandy occurred over four years ago, 36% of Sandy claims still remain open.
