NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ – Today in Perth Amboy, New Jersey, Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) and local leaders voiced their opposition to Trump’s executive orders on immigration. Last week, President Trump signed executive orders for construction of a Mexican border wall and targeting sanctuary cities by threatening to revoke federal funding to those jurisdictions. On Friday, he suspended visas from several majority-Muslim nations while preventingall refugees from entering the country for 120 days.

Washington, DC – Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) provided the following statement on President Trump’s executive order requiring that for every new federal regulation implemented, two must be rescinded.

“President Trump’s sweeping executive order on immigration and refugees showed the devastating consequences of executive actions that are not properly planned or thought out. Clearly the Trump administration has not learned its lesson.

Updated Version of Plan was submitted in 2012, but no new plan has been released

Washington, DC - Today, Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06), the Ranking Member on the House Energy and Commerce Committee, sent a letter to Governor Chris Christie asking that the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) revise and update the Statewide Water Supply Plan. Currently, 14 of New Jersey’s 21 counties have a drought warning, increasing the importance of updating the plan.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – This week, The American Lung Association released a State of Tobacco Control report, showing that New Jersey is one of only two states in the country that allocates zero state funding for tobacco prevention and cessation programs. House Republicans passed the bill by a vote of 238-183.
