Pallone was joined by medical professionals and patients during the discussion, which was one of the monthly discussions held on important topics by JFK.

LONG BRANCH – Today, Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) accepted an award from the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA) recognizing him as an Outstanding Advocate for Persons with Disabilities. The award was given to Congressman Pallone for his working championing the Special Needs Trust Fairness Act, which passed the House of Representatives earlier this month.

Long Branch – Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) announced today that the Asbury Park Police Department was awarded a $474,055 U.S. Department of Justice Office of Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS) grant that will allow it to hire two police officers. The COPS Hiring Program fully funds entry-level salaries and benefits for full-time police officers over a three-year period.

LONG BRANCH, NJ – Today, Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) presented John Grabowski of Sayreville, New Jersey with medals for his service in World War II. Mr. Grabowski earned the medals over 60 years ago, but was unaware of them until his daughter Ann contacted Congressman Pallone’s office.

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ– Today in Laurence Harbor, Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ06) announced $7 million in funding from the Environmental Protection Agency to begin the cleanup at Margaret’s Creek, part of the Raritan Bay Slag Superfund site in Old Bridge.

Long Branch- Today, Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) announced that the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) awarded a contract for the Health Research and Educational Trust of New Jersey to establish a Hospital Improvement Innovation Network, to develop best practices in the reduction of hospital-acquired infections, diagnostic errors, and costly readmissions.

Long Branch- Today, Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. announced that the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has awarded two federal grants totaling more than $4,000,000 to Sea Bright to help repair the damage that resulted from Hurricane Sandy. The FEMA funding will pay for 90% of the total costs of these projects.
