Washington, DC – Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) today announced that New Jersey will receive $826,807 from the U.S. Department of Agriculture to support seafood processors and to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic, including measures to protect workers against COVID-19. The grant is from the Seafood Processors Pandemic Response and Safety (SPRS) Block Grant Program that provides grants to eligible state agencies and territories and was included in the Omnibus and Coronavirus Relief Bill Congress passed and was signed into law in December 2020.

Long Branch, NJ – Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) announced today that the Army Corps of Engineers will begin beach replenishment in Deal, Allenhurst and Loch Arbour in November with an option for renourishment in Elberon. As a result of Congressman Pallone's advocacy, the beach replenishment projects will restore more than 1.1 million cubic yards of sand to the towns' beaches. The federal investment in the project is $16.9 million, which is 65% of the total cost. A combination of state and local funds will make up the remaining cost.
Washington, DC – Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) announced today that schools and libraries in New Jersey will receive $33.4 million from the Federal Communication Commission's (FCC) Emergency Connectivity Fund Program (ECF). Schools and libraries in New Jersey's 6th Congressional District will receive over $5.3 million. The ECF provides funding to help students, teachers, and library patrons get the tools they need to connect to the Internet from home.
Washington, DC – Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr.'s (NJ-06) amendment to the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) passed the U.S. House of Representatives today. The amendment would help advance human rights around the world. It requires the Department of Defense to explicitly report any foreign military units that have received financial assistance from the United States through security cooperation programs and have committed gross human rights violations before or during their participation in the programs.
