January 11, 2022

Washington, DC – Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) announced today that schools and libraries in New Jersey will receive $6,417,476 from the seventh round of funding from the Federal Communications Commission's (FCC) Emergency Connectivity Fund Program (ECF). Schools and libraries in New Jersey's 6th Congressional District have received over $11.3 million, and New Jersey has received over $102 million from the Fund in total.

Washington, DC – Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) today applauded the historic funding New Jersey will receive for home energy assistance. The state will receive $285.6 million for the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) that helps families struggling with the costs of home heating. It is the highest amount New Jersey has ever received for the program.

Long Branch, NJ – Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) today announced that his office helped secure $6,345,600 for constituents who sought assistance from his offices in New Jersey in 2021. The money returned to constituents includes Veterans Affairs (VA) claims, tax returns with the Internal Revenue Service, FEMA grants and claims related to Superstorm Sandy, Small Business Administration loans, and Social Security payments. In 2021, Pallone's office successfully closed 3,284 constituent cases.

Washington, DC – Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) announced today that schools and libraries in New Jersey will receive $23,893,831 from the fifth and sixth rounds of funding from the Federal Communication Commission's (FCC) Emergency Connectivity Fund Program (ECF). Schools and libraries in New Jersey's 6th Congressional District have received over $11.1 million, and New Jersey has received over $96 million from the Fund in total.

Long Branch, NJ – Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) announced that the Army Corps of Engineers will begin beach replenishment today in Deal, Allenhurst and Loch Arbour. The project will begin in Loch Arbour and continue north. It will conclude by March 1 if there are no weather or mechanical delays. The Army Corps may also exercise an option to continue further north and replenish the Elberon section of Long Branch.

Washington, DC – Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr.'s (NJ-06) amendment to the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) passed the U.S. House of Representatives today. The amendment would help advance human rights around the world by requiring the Department of Defense to review existing requirements for conducting human rights training of foreign national security forces participating in security cooperation programs like the Section 333 Building Partner Capacity Program.
