Frank Pallone, Jr. (D-NJ) requested for the expansion of the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospitals Bristol-Myers Squibb Childrens Hospital (BMSCH) in New Brunswick. The New Jersey congressman requested the funds earlier this year.

Frank Pallone, Jr. (D-NJ) said today that the U.S. House of Representatives approved a giant funding bill for Fiscal Year (FY) 2004 that includes funding for two agriculture research projects at Rutgers University. Pallone, whose district includes Rutgers, requested the agricultural funding for the programs in a letter to members of the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Agriculture earlier this year.

Washington, D.C. --- One day after an investment firm consulting the New Jersey Sports and Exposition Authority recommended the state consider selling or leasing Monmouth Park to boost revenues, U.S. Rep. Frank Pallone, Jr. (D-NJ) voiced strong opposition today to the proposed sale of the racetrack. The New Jersey congressman sent a letter to Governor James McGreevey voicing his opposition to a sale and stating that if the state is forced into a lease agreement, the governor should guarantee that Monmouth Park remain a venue for horseracing.

The funds were part of a conference report reconciling separate Fiscal Year (FY) 2004 Energy and Water Development Appropriations bills passed in the House and Senate earlier this year.

Frank Pallone, Jr. (D-NJ), a senior member of the House Energy and Commerce Committee, voiced his opposition today to a final energy conference report that he says does nothing to cut our long-term dependence on foreign oil and does very little to encourage the development of valuable renewable resources.
