Washington, D.C - Today, Congressman Frank Pallone, JR. (NJ-06) voted against the Wrong Choice Act, (H.R. 10) which would remove consumer protections and financial regulations put in place under the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act. H.R. 10 weakens safeguards put in place after the 2008 financial crisis and would allow institutions to circumvent regulation and oversight.

Washington, D.C. – Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) released the following statement on former FBI director James Comey’s testimony before the Senate Intelligence Committee.

“Director Comey’s testimony regarding his conversations with President Trump shows a troubling pattern of intimidation and coercion. These revelations, and the President’s repeated disregard for the FBI’s independence, are yet another example of the Trump Administration’s refusal to respect our most important institutions.

Washington D.C.- Today Congressman Frank Pallone (NJ-06) blasted the Trump administration and the National Marine Fisheries Service’s (NMFS) proposal to issue five Incidental Harassment Authorization (IHA) permits that are essential in allowing the oil and gas industry to conduct seismic tests in the Atlantic. In order to receive a seismic testing permit from the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, an applicant must also receive a separate IHA permit from NMFS.

Appointing a new Administrator should be a top priority, especially since hurricane season began this week. NOAA is essential to ensuring the effective tracking and study of deadly weather events.

Congressman Pallone has been a leading proponent of the Paris Agreement, which is a voluntary accord among nearly 200 nations to reduce their greenhouse-gas emissions.

WASHINGTON, D.C.— This week, Representatives Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) and Carolyn B. Maloney (D-NY) reintroduced legislation that would allow certain Indonesian refugees to reopen asylum claims if they were previously rejected for missing the one-year filing deadline. Indonesian Christians who fled their native country to avoid religious persecution are now facing deportation after years of living, working, and paying taxes in the United States.
