Long Branch, NJ - Today, Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) announced that the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has awarded the Department of Environmental Protection a grant of $55,417,971.88 to reimburse the state’s Hurricane Sandy relief efforts. The work being reimbursed provided for the removal of the sand and silt debris impacting state maintained navigable waterways as a result of Sandy.

Washington - Today, Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) announced that Rutgers University has been awarded a new National Science Foundation grant for its Engineering Department. The grant will support the department's project titled "Robust, scalable, distributed semantic mapping for search-and-rescue and manufacturing co-robots." The project hopes to enable-robots to assist with human operators in education, medical assistance, agriculture, and manufacturing applications.
