Washington, DC – Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06), Senator Cory Booker (D-NJ), Senator Robert Menendez (D-NJ), Congressman Tom Malinowski (NJ-07), Congressman Bill Pascrell (NJ-09), Congressman Albio Sires (NJ-08), Congresswoman Mikie Sherrill (NJ-11), Congresswoman Bonnie Watson Coleman (NJ-12), and Congressman Andy Kim (NJ-03) today sent a letter to Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas requesting Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) prevent the detainment and deportation of a group of Indonesian Christians in New Jersey.

Washington, DC – Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) today called on the Trump Administration to comply with a court order instructing the Trump Administration to preserve green cards for lottery winners of the Fiscal Year 2020 diversity visa program. A family member of one of Pallone's constituents was chosen for a diversity visa but the Department of State has failed to process it as part of the Administration's ongoing attacks on immigrants.

A delegation of lawmakers toured the Elizabeth detention center holding immigrant detainees for nearly three hours Wednesday and emerged from the facility to detail what they saw.

"It's stark. They don't have separate dormitories. They have a cot and they're all together," Rep. Frank Pallone said as he left the detention center.

Washington, D.C. – Today, Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) sent a letter to Acting Director Matthew Albence at U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) regarding inhumane and illegal treatment of transgender asylum seekers. The Trump Administration has refused to uphold its legal duty to provide protection for transgender migrants who have a credible fear of persecution and has failed to adhere to the 2015 ICE memorandum on the Care of Transgender Detainees. Pallone was joined by 33 of his colleagues who also signed the letter.

Washington, DC – Today, Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) voted for H.J.Res. 46, which would terminate President Trump's fabricated national emergency for the U.S. southern border. The legislation passed the House of Representatives. Pallone is an original cosponsor of H.J.Res. 46.

For years the president has blamed immigrants for our nation's challenges while promising an expensive, wasteful and unnecessary wall. Now he has held our nation hostage and shutdown our government for weeks in a pathetic attempt to build this wall. The President should be ashamed.
