By Rep. Frank Pallone, Jr.
President Trump has no problem telling a lie. But last week the President wrote a brazen opinion piece for USA Today on health care that took his lies to a new level. The piece so thoroughly distorted the facts that one has to wonder if there is anyone left in the White House who values the truth.
Dear Neighbors,
When I travel throughout New Jersey, I hear constantly about the opioid epidemic that is devastating our communities. More than 2,200 people died from drug overdoses in 2016, nearly a 40 percent increase in the death toll from the previous year. Thousands more individuals and families face the debilitating realities of addiction. That is why I have made it a priority to address the opioid epidemic in Congress.
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, the Senate passed the America's Water Infrastructure Act of 2018, which reauthorized the Safe Drinking Water Act for the first time in 20 years providing significant new funding to state and local governments to improve drinking water infrastructure nationwide. Pallone, the Ranking Member of the House Energy and Commerce Committee, led House Democrats in the bipartisan negotiations and helped pass the bill last month. The President is now expected to sign the legislation into law.
