Pallone Statement on Sessions Forced Resignation

"For the past two years President Trump has attempted to thwart investigations into his campaign and administration by bullying the Attorney General and politicizing the Justice Department. Given the forced resignation of Attorney General Sessions, Congress must act to ensure that the Justice Department's integrity is preserved and that the Mueller investigation is allowed to continue unabated and without interference. Any nominee for Attorney General must vow to put loyalty to the law and the constitution above loyalty to the President."
