Washington, D.C. --- U.S. Rep. Frank Pallone, Jr. (D-NJ,) co-chairman of the Congressional Caucus on Armenian Issues, made the following statement today at a press conference announcing the introduction of the Armenian Genocide Resolution, which calls on the President and the U.S. Government to properly recognize the atrocities committed against the Armenian people beginning in 1915 as genocide. He was joined today by the other lead sponsors of the legislation, U.S. Reps.

Lautenberg (D-NJ) as well as U.S. Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (D-NJ) today sent a letter to Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry (ATSDR) Director Dr. Howard Frumkin calling for immediate medical care for the residents living near the Ringwood Mines/Landfill Superfund site.

Washington, D.C. --- Last night, the U.S. Senate passed legislation advocated by U.S. Sen. Robert Menendez (D-NJ) that gives the Edison Memorial Tower Corporation an additional six months of eligibility to receive federal matching funds to renovate the Edison Memorial Tower in Edison. The legislation, which was introduced by U.S. Rep. Frank Pallone, Jr. (D-NJ) in the House, passed that chamber last week. The legislation now heads to the president's desk for final approval.

"The president's health care proposal is a non-starter. At a time when we need to confront the growing number of uninsured and the skyrocketing price of health insurance, the president has created a plan that would actually make both problems worse.
