Last week this House passed a final veterans funding bill that provides the largest investment in veterans health care in the 77-year history of the V-A. Congress initially passed this legislation over the opposition of President Bush and his administration.

Frank Pallone, Jr. (D-NJ) announced that the U.S. House of Representatives today gave final approval to a Fiscal Year (FY) 2008 conference report that includes his request of $500,000 for the South Amboy Intermodal Transportation Station to improve access, increase safety and enhance passenger accommodations at the facility.

Frank Pallone, Jr. (D-NJ) announced today that the U.S. House of Representatives approved a Fiscal Year (FY) 2008 conference report that includes his request of $150,000 for New Brunswick to make road improvements along College Avenue to support Rutgers University's redesign of College Avenue.

Frank Pallone, Jr. (D-NJ) today wrote a letter to New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) Commissioner Lisa Jackson urging her to work with local, county and state officials to preserve Takanassee Beach Club through recently approved Green Acres funding. The New Jersey congressman's request comes after passage earlier this month of a Green Acres referendum providing $200 million to preserve open space throughout New Jersey.

By enacting the legislation over the President's objection, Congress authorized $74.8 million in federal funding for the Union Beach hurricane and storm damage reduction project requested by U.S. Rep. By enacting the legislation over the president's objection, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will be authorized to complete the South River Flood Damage Reduction and Ecosystem Restoration Project that was requested earlier this year by U.S. Reps. Rush Holt (D-NJ) and Frank Pallone, Jr. (D-NJ).
