Washington, D.C. - The long-sought effort to gain official recognition of the Armenian Genocide will continue this week when the Congressional Caucus on Armenian Issues holds a memorial observance on Wednesday, in advance of the April 24 anniversary of the mass killing that took the lives of an estimated 1.5 million Armenians, U.S. Rep. Frank Pallone, Jr. and U.S. Rep. Mark Steven Kirk announced on Tuesday.

Washington, D.C. --- U.S. Rep. Frank Pallone, Jr., a senior member of the House Energy and Commerce Committee, announced today that Superfund sites in Marlboro and Sayreville will receive funding through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA), which was passed by Congress and signed into law by President Obama in February. With 114 sites on the National Priorities List (NPL), New Jersey has more Superfund sites than any other state in the country.

Washington, D.C. --- U.S. Rep. Frank Pallone, Jr. (D-NJ), Chairman of the House Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Health, announced today that New Jersey will receive $5.9 million in funds for immunization operations and infrastructure necessary to implement a comprehensive immunization program through the Section 317 program. The funding is provided through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA), which was passed by Congress and signed into law by President Obama in February.

The funding is provided through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA), which was passed by Congress and signed into law by President Obama in February.

Washington, D.C. --- U.S. Rep. Frank Pallone, Jr. (D-NJ) and U.S. Sens. Frank R. Lautenberg (D-NJ) and Robert Menendez (D-NJ), praise the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for proposing to add the contaminated areas along the Raritan Bay in Old Bridge and Sayreville to the National Priorities List (NPL) of Superfund Sites. The EPA's announcement came one day after the lawmakers wrote a letter to EPA Administrator Lisa Jackson urging the agency to designate the site as a Superfund site.

Washington, D.C. --- U.S. Rep. Frank Pallone, Jr. (D-NJ) and U.S. Sens. Frank R. Lautenberg (D-NJ) and Robert Menendez (D-NJ), sent the following letter today to Lisa Jackson, Administrator of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). The lawmakers wrote to urge that the EPA place the contaminated areas along the Raritan Bay in Old Bridge and Sayreville on the National Priorities List of Superfund Sites. They also requested that the EPA aggressively pursue cleanup cost recovery from all parties that have contributed to the contamination.
