Earned Income Tax Credits Give Back Average of $2,000 to NJ Taxpayers

Washington, D.C. – Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. on Monday met with constituents at the Matawan Library to raise awareness about tax credits available to low- and middle- income families that will put more money back in their wallets. The free tax help service sponsored by AARP, launched on Monday to help educate people about all of the tax credits they are eligible to receive.

Frank Pallone Jr. on Friday joined with health care business leaders, medical researchers and scientific academics in an interactive discussion on how to advance research and development in support of innovation, job creation and economic growth in New Jersey. The forum, held at the Cancer Institute of New Jersey in New Brunswick, allowed Pallone to get input from those directly engaged in the science and business of health care R&D.

Washington, D.C. – Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) announced that five police officers were recently re-hired and sworn in on Tuesday due to a federal COPS grant that was awarded to the New Brunswick Police Department. The grant will be spread over three years to fund the salaries and benefits of officers who recently lost their jobs in Franklin Township as a budget cutting measure.

He toured UMDNJ – Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, one of eight certified specialized treatment centers for 9/11 related illnesses under the Zadroga Act.
