Will Present 82-Year Old Veteran with Medals He Earned During Korean War
EDISON, NJ – Today, Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-6) visited the home of Robert A. Corbisiero, a Korean War veteran who lives in Edison, NJ, to present him with distinguished medals for his achievements and service to his country during the Korean War. Mr. Corbisiero, who is now 82 years, has never been recognized with these medals before.

These small bits of plastic can slip through water treatment systems after they are washed down the drain. As a result, these microbeads often end up in local streams, rivers and larger bodies of water.

WASHINGTON, DC — This weekend, Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-6) joined fellow lawmakers, civil rights leaders, and community activists in Alabama to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Selma to Montgomery civil rights marches. The march, led by Pallone’s now colleague Congressman John Lewis (GA-5), helped spark the civil rights movement in the United States and, ultimately, led to the passage of the Voting Rights Act of 1965.
WASHINGTON, DC — Today, Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-6) released the following statement in response to the Christie Administration’s decision to settle New Jersey’s $8.9 billion environmental damage lawsuit against ExxonMobil for a mere $250 million. The settlement comes after an 11-year legal battle to recover damages from ExxonMobil for the contamination of more than 1,500 acres of wetlands, marshes, meadows and waters in northern New Jersey:
WASHINGTON, DC — Today, Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-6) announced that the city of Long Branch, NJ will be receiving more than $7 million in federal funding to construct a sheet pile wall in order to prevent damage from future storms. The Long Branch boardwalk, as well as the bluffs, bulkheads, and adjacent roads, were severely damaged as a result of Superstorm Sandy. The funding is being provided by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) via the Sandy aid package that Congressman Pallone fought for in Congress.
