WASHINGTON, DC — Today, Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) announced that Public Housing Agencies (PHAs) located in New Jersey’s 6th District will receive a total of over $1.29 million to help with the operation and management costs associated with public housing developments. The funding, which is awarded through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), provides assistance to PHAs to help with the upkeep of public housing. Twelve Housing Authorities throughout the 6th District, in both Middlesex and Monmouth counties, will receive funding.
WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-6) visited Kilmer Homes in Edison, NJ and toured the new affordable housing units, which families are set to begin moving into in April 2015. The new development consists of 120 apartments, including 30 units of permanent supportive housing for homeless families. Partial funding to complete the project is being provided by the Sandy Aid package that Congressman Pallone fought for in Congress.
WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) applauded the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for working to recover costs from a responsible party related to contamination at the Cornell-Dubilier Electronics Superfund site in South Plainfield, New Jersey. EPA announced that $22 million has been received from D.S.C. of Newark Enterprises, Inc. for their liability in a settlement to recover the federal and state government’s costs for cleanup of contamination at the Cornell-Dubilier site.

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ – Today, Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-6) expressed his opposition to a proposal by the Obama Administration to open parts of the Atlantic Ocean to offshore oil and gas drilling. The meeting was held by the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) in Atlantic City, NJ before the Administration moves forward with a 5-year offshore leasing plan which includes opening parts of the Atlantic Ocean to offshore oil and gas drilling.
