NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ – Today, Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06), senior Democrat on the House Energy and Commerce Committee, visited the Rutgers Solar Farm in Piscataway on the 46^th Earth Day to address the need for investments in clean energy in New Jersey and throughout the country. Middlesex Freeholder Charlie Kenny, Piscataway Mayor Brian Wahler and representatives from the League of Conservation Voters and Clean Water Action also attended the event.

WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (D-NJ), Senior Democrat on the House Energy and Commerce committee, lauded the success of the Environmental Protection Agency’s Brownfields Program and stressed the importance of reauthorizing the law, which he authored with the late Congressman Paul Gillmor (R-OH) in 2001. President Bush signed the bill into law in January 2002.

WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) applauded the allocation of more than $45 million through the Hardest Hit Fund to the state of New Jersey to help stabilize the housing market and prevent foreclosures. The Hardest Hit Fund was created in 2010 to provide targeted assistance to 18 states and the District of Columbia deemed hardest hit by the economic and housing market downturn.

WASHINGTON, DC – Today, the Securing Access to Networks in Disasters Act – or the SANDy Act, passed the House Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Communications and Technology. NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ – Today, Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) joined Mayor Wilda Diaz in Perth Amboy to highlight the need for investment in water infrastructure in New Jersey and throughout the country. In February, Pallone introduced, the AQUA Act, which significantly increases water infrastructure funding authorization so local communities can repair and replace their aging water systems to ensure residents have access to clean and safe drinking water.

Washington, D.C. – Today, Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) applauded the news that President Obama will deliver the keynote address at Rutgers University’s 250th Anniversary Commencement in May 2016. Last month, Pallone led members of the New Jersey Congressional Delegation in sending a letter to President Obama urging him to accept Rutgers University’s invitation. Rutgers is located in Congressman Pallone’s district.

The hearing comes after numerous reports of lead being detected at New Jersey schools.

LONG BRANCH - Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) is pleased to announce that his office will hold a Poetry competition for local school children as part of National Poetry month. The competition is open to all students in the 6th District and select submissions will be featured by Pallone’s office. Students will also be able to take part in a reading at the Congressman’s office.
