WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06), top Democrat on the House Energy and Commerce Committee, announced that the Monmouth Family Health Center in Long Branch, the Jewish Renaissance Medical Center in Perth Amboy and the Visiting Nurse Association of Central Jersey Community Health Center in Asbury Park were awarded grants from the Health Resources and Services Administration, an agency of the Department of Health and Human Services.

Washington, D.C. - Today, Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06), top Democrat on the House Energy and Commerce Committee, led Democratic efforts to advance bipartisan legislation to address the nationwide opioid epidemic through the House of Representatives. The legislation passed the house by a vote of 400 to 5. The Senate passed its opioid legislation, the Comprehensive Addiction and Recovery Act (CARA), on March 10 by a vote of 94 to 1 and the House and Senate will now to go conference.

WASHINGTON, DC — Today, Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) sent a letter to National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Fisheries requesting a public hearing on proposed seismic testing in the Atlantic Ocean that could potentially be used to open the Atlantic Ocean to oil and gas exploration. Pallone also asked that the pending applications for seismic testing before NOAA be denied.

New Brunswick, NJ --- Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (D-NJ) announced the recipients of the prestigious Congressional Award, this year’s U.S. Service Academy nominees and the winners of the 2016 Sixth Congressional District High School Arts Competition at a Congressional Awards Ceremony. Students representing several local high schools were honored at the reception, held at Rutgers University. In addition, distinguished guests discussed the importance of the fields recognized. WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06), Senior Democrat on the House Energy and Commerce Committee, announced that the Visiting Nurse Association of Central Jersey Community Health Center in Asbury Park was awarded a $350,000 grant from the Health Resources and Services Administration, an agency of the Department of Health and Human Services. The funding will be used to increase the Center’s patient capacity and to provide additional comprehensive primary and preventive health services to medically underserved populations.
