WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06), top Democrat on the House Energy and Commerce Committee, announced that the Monmouth Family Health Center in Long Branch, the Jewish Renaissance Medical Center in Perth Amboy and the Visiting Nurse Association of Central Jersey Community Health Center in Asbury Park were awarded grants from the Health Resources and Services Administration, an agency of the Department of Health and Human Services.

The Senate passed its opioid legislation, the Comprehensive Addiction and Recovery Act (CARA), on March 10 by a vote of 94 to 1 and the House and Senate will now to go conference.

Pallone also asked that the pending applications for seismic testing before NOAA be denied.

The funding will be used to increase the Center’s patient capacity and to provide additional comprehensive primary and preventive health services to medically underserved populations.
