WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-6) announced that his office will be participating in the Congressional App Challenge, an app competition for U.S. high school students. The Challenge submission period will run from July 18, 2016 through November 2, 2016. The competition is open to all students who meet the eligibility requirements, regardless of coding experience. Earlier this week the SANDy Act passed the House of Representatives by a vote of 389-2.
Long Branch, NJ – Today, Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) announced that the United States Postal Service will resume mail carrier operations at the Oceanport Post Office on June 1, 2016. The Oceanport Post Office was temporarily closed after a fire in July of 2015. The Oceanport Post Office reopened in late January of this year, but mail carriers continued to report out of the Monmouth Beach Post Office.
WASHINGTON, DC - Today, Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) and Congressman Bill Pascrell (NJ-09) demanded that FEMA take swift action to process claims for victims of Hurricane Sandy in a meeting with Roy Wright, Deputy Associate Administrator for Insurance and Mitigation at the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), in Pallone’s Washington, DC office. At the meeting Wright stated that FEMA would have the unprocessed claims finished by the end of the summer.
