His budget proposal puts the military industrial complex above the best interests of global peace and security, and above the best interests of the American people.

Washington, DC – Today, Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) denounced the Trump Administration’s decision to reverse landmark U.S. Departments of Education and Justice joint guidance confirming that Title IX’s sex nondiscrimination provisions apply to transgender students. As part of the guidelines, the Obama administration instructed public schools to allow transgender students to use bathrooms and other school facilities that match their gender identity.

Washington, DC – Today, Congressman Frank Pallone (NJ-06) slammed the Trump administration’s plans to deport millions of immigrants. As a result of today’s directives, Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) are required to apprehend and quickly deport virtually every undocumented immigrant they encounter. The administration also announced the beginning of the planning stage for President Trump’s expanded border wall between the United States and Mexico.

Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) and Bill Pascrell (NJ-09), sent a letter to the Newark Field Office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation raising concerns about reported FBI phone calls and attempts to meet in-person with Syrian refugees. The representatives questioned whether the FBI contact might have an adverse impact on ensuring refugees feel safe and secure in their communities.
