Washington, D.C. – Energy and Commerce leaders sent a letter to Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Alex Azar demanding evidence and justifications for the Trump Administration's final Title X gag rule, which threatens the program's provider network and its patients' access to care. The letter was signed by Energy and Commerce Chairman Frank Pallone, Jr.
Washington, DC – Last night a provision authored by Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) to strengthen the facilities at Sandy Hook passed the House of Representatives. Numerous stakeholders, including the state of New Jersey, asked Pallone to provide a legislative fix allowing the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) to directly take over the marine science lab lease on Sandy Hook. Previously the State of New Jersey leased the lab from the National Park Service with NOAA subleasing the lab from New Jersey.

The president's emergency declaration and effort to steal billions of dollars in civil works programs, flood prevention and reconstruction projects, and military construction funds could impact more than $50 million specifically intended for New Jersey facilities at Picatinny Arsenal and Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst.
