The grant allocates over $400,000 to secure the rapidly eroding foundation of Pleasant Valley between Igoe Road and Route 34. FEMA's Pre-Disaster Mitigation Grant Program is designed to help communities like Marlboro reduce potential hazards before extreme flood events. Every federal dollar spent on disaster mitigation saves an average of six dollars in future costs.

Last May, consumers received an estimated 20 million robocalls in the 732 area code alone.
