Long Branch, N.J. – Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) announced two federal grants totaling nearly $1 million for legal assistance to survivors of domestic violence and children who are exposed to domestic violence, as well as a new prevention program and public awareness campaign. Pallone also called on Senate Republicans to schedule a vote on the House-passed Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) reauthorization. VAWA expired earlier this year.

Washington, D.C. – Today, Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) applauded House passage of a permanent offshore drilling ban along the Atlantic and Pacific Coasts. H.R. 1941, the Coastal and Marine Economies Protection Act, would place a permanent moratorium on oil and gas exploration in the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans' outer continental shelves.

Long Branch, N.J. – Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) announced today that the West Long Branch EMS has been awarded nearly $50,000 in federal grant funding from the Assistance to Firefighters Grants (AFG) program. The grant will enhance West Long Branch's ability to protect the health and safety of the public through improved communication. The grant will fund the purchase of new multi-band, two-way radios.
