Washington, DC – Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) joined a bicameral Congressional Delegation trip, led by Speaker Nancy Pelosi (CA-12), to Madrid, Spain for the 2019 United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, known as COP25. At the conference, he said the U.S. is still playing a leadership role.

Metuchen, NJ – Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) participated in a town hall to discuss the dangers of vaping and provide an update on his legislation to combat the youth tobacco epidemic. He was joined by Harry Carson, former New York Giants Team Captain as well as local public health and education officials.

Washington, DC – Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) today applauded passage of legislation to address PFAS contamination and exposure by the House Energy and Commerce Committee, where he serves as Chairman. Pallone released the following statement after the PFAS Action Act was favorably reported to the full House of Representatives by a vote of 31-19. According to a report, there are 517 water systems in New Jersey that are contaminated with PFAS.

Washington, DC – Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) spearheaded the advancement of his legislation to protect U.S. telecommunications systems from foreign interference. The Secure and Trusted Communications Networks Act of 2019 instructs the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to develop and maintain a list of communications equipment and services that pose an unacceptable risk to national security and prohibits the use of funds made available by FCC programs to purchase, rent, lease, or otherwise obtain suspect equipment and services.

Washington, DC – Today, Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) released the following statement after his bill, the Reversing the Youth Tobacco Epidemic Act, was favorably reported by the Energy and Commerce Committee to the full House of Representatives. The Reversing the Youth Tobacco Epidemic Act would prohibit all flavored tobacco products, including e-cigarettes, increase the minimum age for purchasing tobacco products to 21, ban certain non-face-to-face sales for tobacco products, and protects kids from the marketing of tobacco products.

Washington, DC – Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (N-06) released the following statement after his legislation to completely ban asbestos was favorably reported, as amended, to the full House of Representatives. The Alan Reinstein Ban Asbestos Now Act of 2019 would ban the production, use and importation of asbestos. Pallone's bill also implements a complete ban on the toxic substance one year after the bill's passage.

This comprehensive pipeline safety legislation takes numerous steps to improve pipeline safety and address climate change by reducing emissions, preventing pipeline leaks, and holding pipeline operators accountable for reckless actions.

Washington, DC – Today, Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) and Congressman Bill Pascrell (NJ-09) announced the reintroduction of legislation to help the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) clean up sites listed on the Superfund's National Priorities List. The Superfund Polluter Pays Act would reinstate the Superfund tax to make sure polluters pay for the cleanup of Superfund sites – not taxpayers. Senator Cory Booker of New Jersey will introduce the companion bill in the Senate.
