Edison, NJ – Today, Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06), along with students and public health advocates, hailed the House passage of his bipartisan legislation to address the youth tobacco and vaping epidemic. The Protecting American Lungs and Reversing the Youth Tobacco Epidemic Act would prohibit all flavored tobacco products, including e-cigarettes, ban most non-face-to-face sales for tobacco products, and protect kids from the predatory marketing of tobacco products.

Long Branch, NJ – Today, Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) sent a letter to the Superintendent of Gateway National Recreation Area expressing his opposition to proposed development of permanent residential units at Sandy Hook. "I am adamantly opposed to any development for residential purposes and strongly encourage you to prevent this private development at Sandy Hook," Pallone wrote in the letter.

Washington, DC – Today, Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) demanded answers from the U.S. Department of Interior regarding its plans to allow harmful seismic airgun blasting off the Atlantic Coast. In a letter sent to Bureau of Ocean Energy Management Acting Director Walter Cruickshank, Pallone requested information on its plans to issue geological and geophysical permits to allow the dangerous and disruptive activity. Congressman Joe Cunningham (SC-01) and Congressman Chris Smith (NJ-04) also signed the letter.

New Brunswick, NJ – Today, Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) announced that the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Army Corps) has allocated $4.1 million in federal funding for the dredging of Cheesequake Creek in Middlesex County. The announcement comes after Representative Pallone, Senator Bob Menendez (D-NJ), and Senator Cory Booker (D-NJ) urged the Army Corps to support the dredging project, citing the adverse impacts on navigation, safety, and the local economy resulting from the lack of maintenance for decades.

Jillian Hudspeth is the President and CEO of New Jersey Primary Care Association that oversees New Jersey's Federally Qualified Health Centers. Federally Qualified Health Centers provide medical, dental, behavioral health, and substance abuse disorder treatment for New Jersey's most vulnerable populations.
