Legislation Originating in Pallone’s Committee Advances through House with Bipartisan Support
WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06), Ranking Member of the House Energy and Commerce Committee, commended yesterday evening’s House of Representatives passage of four public health bills, which originated in his Committee and which were approved with strong bipartisan support.
LONG BRANCH, NJ – Today, Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) announced that the federally funded contract for beach replenishment from Elberon to northern Deal has been awarded. It will complete the second and final phase of the beach replenishment from Elberon and Loch Arbour. The project will cover the area stretching from Lake Takanassee in Elberon to Philips Avenue in Deal. The Army Corps of Engineers awarded the contract for the $86,722,210 project to Manson Construction Company.

LONG BRANCH, NJ – Today, Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06), a co-chair of the Congressional Coastal Communities Caucus, announced a $57,853 grant to Rutgers University from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) to aid New Jersey coastal communities in the fight against marine debris. Specifically, the grant award will be aimed at preventing derelict fishing equipment and other marine debris from ending up in New Jersey coastal waters.

The Christie Administration decided to settle New Jersey’s $8.9 billion environmental damage lawsuit against ExxonMobil for a mere $225 million.
