FTC must prevent employees from profiting off insider information

Online fantasy sports players need assurances games aren’t rigged

WASHINGTON, D.C.Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (D-NJ-06) and U.S. Senator Bob Menendez (D-NJ) today sent a letter to Federal Trade Commission (FTC) Chairwoman Edith Ramirez urging the FTC to explore and implement safeguards to ensure a fair playing field for fantasy sports enthusiasts who participate in daily or weekly games.

Last month, Pallone requested a Committee hearing to review the legal status of daily fantasy sports, given the Committee’s jurisdiction over professional sports and gambling and the overwhelming popularity of fantasy sports websites.
