Congressman Pallone understands that investing in all forms of infrastructure is necessary to ensuring a strong economy. That is why as then-Chairman of the Energy and Commerce Committee, he introduced the LIFT America Act which would make comprehensive investments in New Jersey and the nation's infrastructure. The bill would authorize over $80 billion to expand access to broadband, improve drinking water infrastructure, update our electric grid, cleanup and redevelop contaminated brownfield sites, and invest in hospital infrastructure. He also has announced a $760 billion plan to address some of the country's most urgent infrastructure needs, from the massive maintenance backlog and designing safer streets to combating climate change by reducing carbon emissions and moving us toward a clean energy future. It also outlines major investments in surface transportation, rail and transit systems, airports, ports and harbors, wastewater and drinking water infrastructure, brownfields, and broadband.

Washington, DC – Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) today announced today that he secured $16,383,535 in funding for 13 projects he submitted to the Appropriations Committee for New Jersey’s Sixth Congressional District. The projects were included in a federal spending bill for Fiscal Year 2024 that passed today in the House of Representatives. The projects will help rebuild and repair infrastructure, support low emissions public transit and lead pipe removal, and improve coastal resiliency.
Long Branch, NJ – Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) today applauded $157 million from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law to support upgrades to New Jersey’s water infrastructure, including $54,366,000 for New Jersey’s Drinking Water State Revolving Fund and $102,647,000 for the Clean Water State Revolving Fund. The state can use the funding to replace lead service lines, address PFAS contamination, maintain adequate stormwater infrastructure to manage flood impacts from climate change, and upgrade water treatment plants.
