The bill would expand leasing for offshore drilling to the Atlantic Coast, which Pallone has consistently opposed:
Washington, D.C. - Today, Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) announced that the Deal Fire Company No. 2 has been awarded $226,195 from the Assistance to Firefighters Grant (AFG) program.
“Firefighters and first responders deserve the best equipment and training we can provide while they risk their lives to protect us every day,” said Congressman Pallone. “I commend Deal Fire Company No. 2 for putting together this winning grant application, and I thank them for the high quality service the firefighters provide our community.”

“In 1996, I was one of a small minority of members of Congress to vote in oppositions of DOMA because I believe that it is unconstitutional and violates equal protection under the law. Earlier this year, I joined with many of my colleagues in submitting an amicus brief to the Supreme Court arguing that the law should be found unconstitutional.
