Carteret, NJ- On Tuesday, May 30th, Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) and the Newark VA Regional Office will host a Veterans Affairs Town Hall and Claims Clinic for Veterans, dependents, and survivors. The Congressman and Lillie Nuble, Director of the Newark Regional Office, will share information and answer questions on Veterans benefits and issues including compensation pension , insurance , loan guaranty, vocational rehabilitation and employment, and education benefit programs.

WASHINGTON, D.C.— This week, Representatives Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) and Carolyn B. Maloney (D-NY) reintroduced legislation that would allow certain Indonesian refugees to reopen asylum claims if they were previously rejected for missing the one-year filing deadline. Indonesian Christians who fled their native country to avoid religious persecution are now facing deportation after years of living, working, and paying taxes in the United States.

Washington, DC – Today, Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06), the Ranking Member on the House Energy and Commerce Committee, blasted the Trump administration for proposing to sell off the entire gasoline reserve created in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy. In 2012, Sandy caused widespread issues related to the availability of gasoline.

Washington, DC - Today, Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) announced that the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services has awarded the Jewish Renaissance Foundation $704,000 as part of the Health Center Program. The Jewish Renaissance Medical Center (JRMC), located in Perth Amboy, is dedicated to delivering preventive and primary medical services to underserved and uninsured populations.

Washington, D.C. – Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) today sent a letter to Acting Solicitor General of the U.S. Jeff Wall strongly recommending that he endorse the review by the U.S. Supreme Court of the New Jersey sports betting case. The request came after the U.S. Supreme Court asked for advice from the Solicitor General’s office about whether or not 130 cases, including the New Jersey case, warranted review by the nation’s highest court.

Washington, D.C. – Today, Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) called on Special Counsel Robert Mueller and Congressional Committees to investigate Michael Flynn’s actions favoring Turkey as a member of the Trump transition team and as National Security Adviser. Flynn has received more than $500,000 for lobbying for Turkish individuals linked to the Erdoğan regime and failed to disclose these payments, as is required by law.
