May 22, 2017

Washington, DC - Today, Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) announced that the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services has awarded the Jewish Renaissance Foundation $704,000 as part of the Health Center Program. The Jewish Renaissance Medical Center (JRMC), located in Perth Amboy, is dedicated to delivering preventive and primary medical services to underserved and uninsured populations.

“I am pleased that the Department of Health and Human Services has selected the Jewish Renaissance Foundation to receive this federal grant as it gives them the resources they need to best serve our community,” said Pallone. "Community Health Centers, like JRMC, have a significant impact in improving health in our communities, as they are able to serve the unique health needs of hard-to-reach populations."

The funding for this grant is through the Health Resources and Services Administration, which makes grants to organizations to improve and expand health care services for underserved people.
