Washington - Today, Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (06-NJ) announced that Middlesex County has been awarded a federal grant worth $1,570,212 to aid low income individuals and families living with HIV/AIDS. The grant will assist Middlesex residents through the Ryan White Program which supports both direct medical treatment as well as non-medical aid.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) helped lead bipartisan reauthorization of the Brownfields program through the Energy and Commerce Committee. The Brownfields program was created in 2002 by legislation authored by Pallone and the late Republican Ohio Rep. Paul Gillmor. The programs’ investments have leveraged more than $22 billion from a variety of public and private sources for cleanup and redevelopment activities. This has resulted in approximately 117,525 jobs nationwide.

Long Branch, NJ – Today, Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) sent a letter to U.S Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross asking him to consider New Jersey’s response to the Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission (ASMFC) evaluation of the state’s compliance. New Jersey has proposed a summer flounder size limit of 18 inches, with a 104-day fishing season and a 3 bag limit. The State argues that this change will better preserve the stock by reducing the discard mortality as well as reach conservation equivalency with federal regulations.
