Washington, D.C. – Congressmen Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) and Frank A. LoBiondo (NJ-02) led a bipartisan group of 66 members of the House of Representatives in sending a letter to Secretary of the Interior Ryan Zinke, opposing any effort to allow oil and gas leasing in the Atlantic Ocean and Eastern Gulf of Mexico. This letter was sent in response to a July 3rd Request for Information on the preparation of a new five-year National Outer Continental Shelf (OCS) Oil and Gas Leasing Program for 2019-2022.
Long Branch, NJ – Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) announced today that the South Plainfield Fire Department has been awarded a $192,473 in federal grants from the Assistance to Firefighters Grants (AFG) program. The grant will enhance South Plainfield’s ability to protect the health and safety of the public, as well as its first-responders, by updating its respiratory equipment. The equipment includes air packs, breathing apparatus, and face protectors.
Long Branch, NJ – Today, Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) returned from a trip to Israel, where he gained a firsthand understanding of regional challenges and America’s strategic relationship with Israel.
Reflecting on his trip, Congressman Pallone said that the threat posed by Iran’s conventional forces to Israel and the entire Middle East was his biggest concern.
Long Branch, NJ – Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06), Co-Chair of the Armenian Caucus, visited the Armenian quarter of Jerusalem during the first week of August and met with the Armenian Patriarch of Jerusalem, Nurhan Manougian. The two discussed the United States’ support for Armenia and Artsakh. Congressman Pallone was on a week long trip to Israel sponsored by the American Israel Education Foundation.

Cicilline (RI-01) led a bicameral letter to Attorney General Jeff Sessions regarding the Department of Justice’s decision to file an amicus brief in the Zarda v. Altitude Express case. Donald Zarda, a skydiver, filed a lawsuit in September 2010 against his former employer, Altitude Express, Inc, alleging that the company violated the Civil Rights Act by discriminating against him because of his sexual orientation.
Washington, D.C. – Today, Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) sent a letter to President Donald J. Trump asking him to fulfill his past promises to invest heavily in our nation’s infrastructure. The President has often called for over $1 trillion in investments in our infrastructure, yet no steps have been taken to make this commitment a reality. President Trump has instead taken steps to cut necessary projects and repairs that provide this country – and New Jersey, specifically – with clean water, effective transportation, and job opportunities.
