Washington, D. C. - Seeking stricter enforcement of sanctions on Iran, U. S. Rep. Frank Pallone, Jr. on Thursday wrote to Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner, Ben Bernanke, chairman of the Federal Reserve, and President-elect Dilma Rousseff of Brazil, urging compliance and enforcement of international and domestic laws intended to prevent Iran from developing nuclear weapons.

Pallone also wrote to two foreign-based companies doing business with Iran warning them of the consequences of violating U. S. sanctions.

Washington, D.C. - Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) Thursday applauded passage of the Medicare and Medicaid Extenders of 2010, averting a 25 percent payment cut to physicians who treat seniors and military families which without this bill would have taken effect January 1. Passage today means physician fees in Medicare will remain at their current levels for all of 2011.
