Washington, D.C. — Congressmen Frank Pallone (NJ-06) released the following statement Tuesday on the Obama administration’s decision to end the ban on deepwater oil and gas drilling imposed after the BP oil disaster in April.
“This legislation only begins to recognize the sacrifices our first responders made as they served in the weeks and months after the 9/11 terrorist attack,” said Pallone. “Today’s action is a significant step toward providing the delayed victims of this disaster with the care they deserve. I hope to see the president sign this legislation soon.”
