Washington, D.C. – Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr., (NJ-06) along with members of the Natural Resources Committee Wednesday approved legislation to abolish the Minerals Management Service and inject greater accountability, transparency and efficiency into the leasing process. The “Consolidated Land, Energy, and Aquatic Resources Act,” was approved by a vote of 27-21.

Washington, D.C. – Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr., (NJ-06) Tuesday announced a Health Subcommittee hearing entitled “Antibiotic Resistance and the Use of Antibiotics in Animal Agriculture,” on Wednesday July 14, 2010. The hearing will focus on the possible side effects on human health of the use of antibiotics in food-producing animals, such as cows, pigs, and others.

Washington, D.C. -- U.S. Representatives Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) and Rush Holt (NJ-12) Wednesday requested the National Park Service appoint an individual to oversee any further leasing of the historic Fort Hancock buildings at Sandy Hook. The individual would be specifically tasked with monitoring the restoration of buildings.

Washington, D.C. - U.S. Rep. Frank Pallone Jr., (D-NJ), Thursday announced approval of $1 million in funding to complete design and engineering for the Long Branch Pier and Ferry terminal. The funding was approved by the Transportation, Housing and Urban Development Appropriations Subcommittee in the markup of its FY 2011 appropriations bill.

Frank Pallone, Jr. (D-NJ) announced Wednesday that the House Appropriations Committee preliminarily approved $200,000 in funding for American Gold Shield, Inc., a non-profit high school drug and violence prevention project. The funding was approved by the Subcommittee on Commerce, Justice, Science and Related Agencies for Fiscal Year (FY) 2011.
