WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06), Ranking Member of the House Energy and Commerce Committee, led a letter from members of the New Jersey Congressional delegation to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), applauding the agency’s recently released Ocean Noise Strategy Roadmap, which proposes numerous measures to reduce ocean noise, and urging NOAA to take immediate steps to implement the plan.

New Brunswick, NJ– Today, Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) applauded Middlesex County for being recognized by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, the United States Interagency Council on Homelessness and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs for having effectively ended veterans' homelessness in the county. The Middlesex County freeholder board created a Veterans Housing Program in 2012 to assist veterans at risk of homelessness, committing $100,000 a year to the effort.

Long Branch – Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) announced today that the Asbury Park Police Department was awarded a $474,055 U.S. Department of Justice Office of Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS) grant that will allow it to hire two police officers. The COPS Hiring Program fully funds entry-level salaries and benefits for full-time police officers over a three-year period. The program also helps to increase community policing capacity and crime prevention efforts, and places an important emphasis on building trust and mutual respect between police and communities.
