This week President Trump announced details about his first budget outline. Unfortunately, the President is focused on the wrong priorities and the wrong solutions. He believes that increasing military spending by more than $50 billion, while taking massive cuts out of environmental priorities to cover a small portion of that increase, is the way to solve our nation’s problems.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) sent a letter to the Inspector General of the U.S. Department of Agriculture calling for an investigation into the Governor Chris Christie’s administration’s apparent redirection of federal Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC) funds to pay for the Governor’s newly announced opioid ad campaign, Reach NJ.

LONG BRANCH, NJ – This week, Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) and a bipartisan group from the New Jersey Congressional delegation sent a letter to U.S. Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross regarding the Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission’s (ASMFC) vote to approve devastating restrictions on New Jersey’s fishing community. The Congressmen asked Ross to delay any reductions or changes in summer flounder fishing quotas until a new stock assessment can be completed and a new approach can be crafted.
