Washington, D.C.- Today Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) held a roundtable at Monmouth Medical Center (MMC) with administrators and health professionals to discuss investments by the RWJBarnabas Health System in the MMC campus and the center's growing role as a healthcare leader in New Jersey. Investments in MMC's Comprehensive Breast Center, for example, have led to national recognition for its use of robotics for mastectomies.

Washington, D.C. – Today, Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) blasted the Trump administration's approval of five Incidental Harassment Authorization (IHA) permits for companies planning to conduct seismic geological and geophysical surveys along the Atlantic coast. The permits authorize five companies to use seismic airguns that can disturb, harm, and potentially kill not only marine mammals but also a wide range of marine life that support coastal economies from Florida to Maine.

Washington, D.C. – Today, Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) led a letter from Members of Congress asking that President Trump halt any efforts to extradite exiled Turkish cleric Fethullah Gülen from the U.S. to Turkey, as has been reported in numerous media outlets. Gülen has been a consistent scapegoat for Turkish President Recip Erdogan and it has been reported that Trump is considering his removal from the U.S.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, the Senate passed the America's Water Infrastructure Act of 2018, which reauthorized the Safe Drinking Water Act for the first time in 20 years providing significant new funding to state and local governments to improve drinking water infrastructure nationwide. Pallone, the Ranking Member of the House Energy and Commerce Committee, led House Democrats in the bipartisan negotiations and helped pass the bill last month. The President is now expected to sign the legislation into law.
