Frank Pallone, Jr. (D-NJ) today sent a letter to Dr. Julie Gerberding, Director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in Atlanta, to request that she direct their Agency for Toxic Substances & Disease Registry (ATSDR) to conduct a health consultation for the DuPont facility in Parlin, New Jersey.

Washington, D.C. -- U.S. Reps. Rush Holt (NJ-12) and Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-6) today held discussions with FBI Director Robert Mueller regarding the future of the FBI Information Technology Center at Fort Monmouth. The two New Jersey lawmakers made it clear to Mueller that the Bureau should stay in Monmouth County.

Washington, D.C. -- U.S. Reps. Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-6) and Rush Holt (NJ-12) sent a letter to the U.S. Department of Defense today voicing concern over the possible departure of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) office located on the property of Fort Monmouth. Todays action follows a letter sent yesterday to Robert S. Mueller III, Director of the FBI, in which to the two New Jersey lawmakers asked to meet with Director Mueller to discuss the agency's intentions.

Frank Pallone, Jr. (D-NJ) gave the following statement on the floor of the U.S. House today in opposition to H.R. 4761, the Domestic Energy Production through Offshore Exploration and Equitable Treatment of State Holdings Act of 2006 (DOER Act), a Republican sponsored bill that will allow states to open their shores to oil and gas drilling.

Washington, D.C. --- The U.S. House of Representatives today approved an amendment offered by U.S. Rep. Frank Pallone, Jr. (D-NJ) that provides $1 million for a comprehensive study to determine which U.S. coastal population centers are most at risk from the impacts of sea level rise due to global warming. This is the first time the House has approved an amendment specifically addressing the threat of global warming.
