Washington, D.C. --- U.S. Rep. Frank Pallone, Jr. (D-NJ) and U.S. Sens. Frank R. Lautenberg (D-NJ) and Robert Menendez (D-NJ), praise the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for proposing to add the contaminated areas along the Raritan Bay in Old Bridge and Sayreville to the National Priorities List (NPL) of Superfund Sites. The EPA's announcement came one day after the lawmakers wrote a letter to EPA Administrator Lisa Jackson urging the agency to designate the site as a Superfund site.

Washington, D.C. --- U.S. Rep. Frank Pallone, Jr. (D-NJ) and U.S. Sens. Frank R. Lautenberg (D-NJ) and Robert Menendez (D-NJ), sent the following letter today to Lisa Jackson, Administrator of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). The lawmakers wrote to urge that the EPA place the contaminated areas along the Raritan Bay in Old Bridge and Sayreville on the National Priorities List of Superfund Sites. They also requested that the EPA aggressively pursue cleanup cost recovery from all parties that have contributed to the contamination.

Washington, D.C. --- U.S. Rep. Frank Pallone, Jr. (D-NJ) announced today that four community health centers in his district will receive funds through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) released $338 million to expand services offered at community health centers nationwide.

The letter concerns recent reports that the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) has excluded shovel-ready beach renourishment projects from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers list of projects to receive funding through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.

Washington, D.C. - U.S. Rep. Frank Pallone, Jr. announced on Thursday economic recovery funds for New Jersey communities that will create clean energy jobs, reduce energy bills and improve energy efficiency. The Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant program, funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, will provide formula grants for projects that reduce total energy use and fossil fuel emissions, and improve energy efficiency.
