This funding, secured with Pallone’s advocacy, will provide critical financial relief to sustain high-quality health care and reimburse hospitals for emergency protective measures undertaken during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Sayreville, NJ – Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) today announced $1.57 million in federal funding for the Borough of Sayreville to advance flood resilience and ecosystem restoration. The funding will support the design phase for restoring 188 acres of wetlands and upland habitats, a vital project to protect Sayreville residents from worsening tidal and storm flooding.

The restoration will also improve habitat for iconic species such as ospreys, bald eagles, and terrapins, delivering both environmental and community benefits.

WASHINGTON, DC –Congressman Frank Pallone (D-NJ) returned from Baku, Azerbaijan, where he participated in the 29th Conference of the Parties (COP29) on UN Climate Action. Azerbaijani government sponsored protests greeted Pallone at both COP 29 and the hotel where he stayed. He avoided physical harm only through the efforts of State Department.

WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr., Ranking Member of the Energy and Commerce Committee and a key architect of the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), announced today that the New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) will receive $27.85 million through the Low-Carbon Transportation Materials Grants Program created by the IRA. This funding, disbursed by the Federal Highway Administration, will help implement low-carbon materials on federal-aid construction projects throughout the state.

Grijalva (D-AZ) today sent a letter to President Biden urging him to use his authority under Section 12(a) of the Outer Continental Shelf Lands Act (OCSLA) to permanently withdraw unleased and at-risk areas of the Outer Continental Shelf (OCS) from fossil fuel development. Citing the economic and ecological importance of protecting these waters, the Members of Congress stressed the urgency of enacting permanent protections.
