Announcement comes after months of delays in distribution of Sandy rebuilding funds
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. and Senator Robert Menendez sent a letter to the Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission today asking that a proposal to require states to group their summer flounder quota together, called regionalization, be rejected until further public input and information on alternatives can be attained.
WASHINGTON, D. C.—Today, Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) and Woodbridge Mayor John McCormac announced that the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) will receive $2,575,000 to buy out and demolish 89 flood prone properties in Woodbridge. The properties will be maintained as open space.
“This funding will provide much needed relief to Woodbridge homeowners who are still trying to recover from Sandy’s devastation,” said McCormac.
$75 million Allocated for Fishery Disasters Including Those Declared as a Result of Sandy

Funds under the SAFER program are intended to support the hiring of firefighters and the recruitment and retention of volunteer firefighters.
