Washington, D.C. –Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) released the following statement today after President Donald Trump announced that he will reopen midterm review of the Corporate Average Fuel Economy (CAFE) standards, which was finalized under the Obama Administration. This move opens the door to rolling back implementation of the standard requiring cars and light-duty trucks to reach a 54.5 miles per gallon standard by Model Year 2025:

Washington, DC – Today, Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) re-introduced legislation to help the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) clean up sites listed on the Superfund’s National Priorities List. The Superfund Polluter Pays Act would reinstate the Superfund tax to ensure polluters, not taxpayers, pay for the cleanup of Superfund sites.

The competition is open to all students in the 6th District and select submissions will be featured by Congressman Pallone on his website and Facebook and Twitter pages. Last year, over 600 poems were submitted by students of all ages.
